WOW!!.... Such a perfect place for a relaxing family get together for all ages. A delayed 50th Birthday celebration due to lockdown- but so worth the wait! Clean, well equipped tents. The log fire kept the tent warm all weekend and the Lasagne & Jacket Potatoes were gorgeous cooked in the oven. The beds are so comfortable, and duvets so warm.
All 10 of us played Rounders in the field in glorious sunshine, & also done some beautiful walks. Our 2 Tibetan Terriers just loved the freedom of the enclosed field.

Came home Monday & booked again on Tuesday for our Autumnal break in October. Can’t wait to come back

Six of us had a wonderful stay at Black Pig retreats. They really do put the "glam" in GLAMping!! We were not expecting this level of luxury.
Really clean tent, friendly owners. Great location, our dog loved it too! Do get the shepherds pie.

We stayed in the Straw Bothy and had a great time. Loved the wood fire in the [Bothy] making it very cosy, the walks on your doorstep through fields and forests and we had a few BBQ's over an open fire which was a treat. Lots of places to see and get to from here too.

My 3 children and myself have just stayed at BPR for the second time, we were in one of the African Safari tents. Very luxurious, loved sitting outside or the raised deck, in the sun, just drinking in the gorgeous surroundings. Night time is magical, Owls hooting up and down the valley. No light pollution, wonderful to sit out on a clear night and Star Watch, we spotted the ISS twice
A perfect antidote to these Covid times.

We have spent the BEST three nights at Black Pig Retreats. We were two couples and two chihuahuas staying in one of the beautiful Safari Tents. Everything was set up perfectly and the hosts have nailed the covid safe 'hosting from a distance'. We felt both looked after, and left alone to enjoy our stay. Every little detail has been thought of.

Thank you so much for the most wonderful week. The kids had a ball and we feel like we’ve been away for weeks. The kids loved sleeping in their ‘secret bed’ and we loved the BBQ’s and relaxation.

You really have created the most wonderful retreat – we will be back.

Despite the horrible weather, we have been cosy, warm and dry throughout, and have particularly enjoyed not having to traipse across muddy fields to toilet or shower blocks! My children have loved exploring the farm and tending to the inhabitants.

Thank you for helping to make memories of which we have lots of happy ones to take back with us!
